 A two hour workshop and lecture on improving all forward bending postures by applying knowledge of anatomy and bio-mechanics of forward bends. Learn how to target the low back and hamstrings and increase the safety and effectiveness of forward bending postures. 

You will learn:

  • Anatomy of the low back, hamstrings and pertinent core and hip muscles in forward bends

  • The primary and secondary intentions of practicing forward bends

  • Risks in forward bending postures and five common mistakes that could increase your chance of injury and prevent progress

  • How to use the muscles of the core and hips when forward bending rather than the pull of the arms and gravity

  • Breathing patterns for safer and more comfortable forward bends
