SIRSASANA (headstand): Whether you are teaching yourself or others, this workshop will help you do so with precision and confidence.
We will cover:
Anatomy of a headstand
Mechanics of entering and exiting
The seven types of headstands
Use of breathing and bandhas to increase stability
How the core muscles provide control
Exercises and postures to prepare the body
Mastery of sirsasana is not required. Class will include a 45 minute practice sequence to warm the body at the beginning of class.
Handouts will be given.
Registered Yoga Teachers earn 3.0 CEU's.
