“The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness.”  ~ Sakyong Mipham

Immerse yourself in the springtime beauty of the inland Pacific Northwest for a weekend of Yoga, meditation and Ayurveda. You will be surrounded with streams, vibrant green pastures, abundant wildflowers, fresh air and beautiful forests. Appropriate for all levels of experience.

Registered Yoga teachers earn 10 CEU's for participating

YOGA & MEDITATION

Each day you will be led through slow, carefully planned Yoga sequences, with the goal of easing tightness in the hips, strengthening core muscles, improving postural alignment, slowing down the breath, calming the mind. Each full day of the retreat will begin with a three-hour morning workshop that will include discussion, meditation and Yoga. Workshop content is designed to help you recognize and overcome common obstacles encountered during meditation and Yoga practices. All levels of practice will be considered in planning. Props such as blocks, chairs, blankets and straps will be available for use and will incorporated in each practice session. In addition to the two morning workshops, we will have late afternoon and evening, candlelit, gentle and restorative Yoga sessions.

AYURVEDA

Learn about the doshas and determine your own personal dosha ratio. We will have discussions on Auryvedic cooking, daily routines, yoga asana and breathing techniques for each dosha. Particular attention will be paid to the three gunas and Ayurvedic routines for the Spring season.

“The goal of meditation isn’t to control your thoughts, it’s to stop letting them control you.”

LOCATION

This magnificent property is on a 150 acre ranch located 15 minutes east of Coeur d' Alene in Northern Idaho. The 4000 sf house is a spacious, comfortable home built with love by the owners. The unique setting of this home is at the confluence of two streams and surrounded by pristine natural beauty to stir your heart. Like a painting come to life with romantic rock bridges, quaint stone steps and walls, lush pastures, fruit trees, flowers and two jade-green ponds filled with trout that guests are encouraged to feed with food provided. This enchanting home is surrounded on three sides by 2.5 million acres of U.S. Forest land extending into Montana and Canada. The property has been maintained as a wildlife preserve with deer, elk, moose, bear, wolves, bald eagles and wild turkeys visiting the ranch.  There are no visible neighbors.
