Class Description
Expanding to Hold More Joy
This class begins with a blending of mindful breathing, a gentle seated warm‑up, intentional twists and lateral bends to create spaciousness in the body and prepare for deeper movement. The middle, standing, sequence builds steady heat through the practice of sun salutations, warriors, and other classic postures in Yoga, holding the postures for up to one-minute to cultivate resilience and presence. As the body opens, students are invited to imagine creating more internal room for joy, allowing strength and softness to coexist. We close with grounding folds, supported heart openers, and restorative twists that soothe the nervous system and integrate the practice, leaving students centered, spacious, and more capable of holding joy.
About Sally Jane McLaughlin
My Yoga journey began in 2002, when I first discovered how the practice could offer steadiness and support through life’s challenges. Over the years, Yoga has become a source of balance and clarity for me, helping me navigate a full life of family, career, and adventure with greater ease. In August 2024, I deepened my commitment by beginning my teacher training under the guidance of Tish Hegel. I’m excited to share the transformative, accessible, and welcoming nature of Yoga with others beginning in 2026.
As a Yoga teacher, my mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive space where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered. I believe Yoga meets us exactly where we are, I strive to offer practices that honor each individual’s unique body, experience, and journey. Through accessible, adaptable, and compassionate instruction, I aim to make yoga a practice that truly belongs to everyone. I am committed to fostering a community rooted in respect, curiosity, and the joy of mindful movement.
