Elk Mountain Ranch

INNER PEACE

YOGA & MEDITATION

RETREAT

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
May 1-4, 2025

Each of us carry an innate sense of calm and tranquility within us yet the pressures of everyday life can pull us away from this inner peace. Join me on a journey inward as we reconnect with our true selves through Yoga, meditation, and rest. Experience the vibrant beauty of spring in the inland Pacific Northwest, surrounded by streams, lush pastures, wildflowers, fresh air, and breathtaking forests. Enjoy a weekend filled with Yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), and meditation, suitable for all skill levels.

BODY
Each day, engage in thoughtfully designed Yoga sequences focused on relieving tension in the hips and neck, strengthening core muscles, and improving postural alignment. Our days will begin with a three-hour morning workshop that includes discussions, meditation, and Yoga, aimed at helping you identify and overcome common challenges in your practice. We will accommodate all levels, providing props such as mats, blocks, chairs, blankets, straps, and meditation stools for each session.

BREATH
Breath is the bridge between the mind and body. To calm the mind, we must first learn to regulate our breath. Throughout the retreat, you will learn three breathing techniques that foster mental stability, enhance focus, and reduce stress. Each Yoga session will start and end with breathing practices.

MIND
Yoga asanas (postures) provide numerous benefits for the body. Alleviating physical tension through Yoga is the first step in releasing mental stress. Daily meditation practices and discussions, tailored for both new and experienced meditators, will equip you with practical skills for everyday life.

LOCATION

This magnificent property is on a 150 acre ranch located 15 minutes east of Coeur d' Alene in Northern Idaho. The 4000 sf house is a spacious, comfortable home built with love by the owners. The heart of the home is the original 1908 homestead cabin, whose original deed was signed by President Theodore Roosevelt.

The unique setting of this home is at the confluence of two streams and surrounded by pristine natural beauty to stir your heart. Like a painting come to life with romantic rock bridges, quaint stone steps and walls, lush pastures, fruit trees, flowers and two jade-green ponds filled with trout that guests are encouraged to feed with food provided. This enchanting home is surrounded on three sides by 2.5 million acres of U.S. Forest land extending into Montana and Canada. The property has been maintained as a wildlife preserve with deer, elk, moose, bear, wolves, bald eagles and wild turkeys visiting the ranch.  There are no visible neighbors.
