October 16-19, 2025

Coeur d' Alene, Idaho

“Even if something is left undone,

everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn.”

– Elizabeth Lawrence

Autumn Leaves

Crisp Air, Fall Colors & Beautiful Scenery  Join me for a magical weekend at a private ranch near Lake Coeur d' Alene. Discover Autumn's peace through Yoga and meditation in a secluded, cozy and supportive environment. With a maximum of seven students, you will receive individual attention and assistance in your and meditation Yoga practices. All meals are vegetarian/vegan, cooked with love and meticulous care using, as much as possible, organic and local ingredients.

Asanas are the Yoga postures we practice every time we come to the mat. Asanas, done properly, can have a profound effect on our mind and body. In this intimate and peaceful setting we will move inward as we delve into the most important details of Yoga asana practice. You will receive practical tips and advice that will increase your confidence in Yoga asana practices.

The retreat will be centered around deepening and improving the Yoga asanas (postures) and re-connecting with your calm center through meditation, breathing and chanting. Escape the routines of daily life for time to rest and renew your mind and body. All levels of practice, and each individual;s needs, will be considered in class planning. Props such as blocks, chairs, blankets and straps will be available for use and will be incorporated in each practice session as needed. All Yoga classes taught by Tish Hegel. Julia Peterson, music therapist, will be leading us through an amazing drum circle experience on the final evening.

LOCATION

Elk Mountain Ranch is a magnificent private ranch on 150 acres. Located 15-minutes east of downtown Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, the property is close to ammenities, but still feels private and secluded. The 4000 sf house is a spacious, comfortable home built with love by the owners. The heart of the home is the original 1908 homestead cabin, the original deed was signed by President Theodore Roosevelt.

The unique setting of this home is at the confluence of two streams and surrounded by pristine natural beauty to stir your heart. Like a painting come to life with romantic rock bridges, quaint stone steps and walls, lush pastures, fruit trees, flowers and two jade-green ponds filled with trout that guests are encouraged to feed with food provided. This enchanting home is surrounded on three sides by 2.5 million acres of U.S. Forest land extending into Montana and Canada. It is common to see bald eagles, wild turkeys, deer and elk on the property.
