Crisp Air, Calm Mind and Beautiful Scenery. Join me for a magical weekend at Elk Mountain Ranch near Lake Coeur d' Alene, and adjacent to the Coeur d' Alene National Forest. Discover Fall's peace through Yoga and meditation in a supportive environment, with a maximum of seven students. You will receive individual attention and assistance in your Yoga practice. All meals are vegetarian/vegan, cooked with love and meticulous care by Shelby Dobbins. As much as possible, ingredients are local, organic and gluten free.
This fun and memorable retreat will be centered around deepening and improving the practices of Yoga asanas (postures), re-connecting with your calm center through meditation and breathing, escaping the routines of daily life for time rest and renew. Enjoy dedicated time for relaxation, with options facials, sound baths, and personal reflection in a peaceful, supportive environment. help with the escape from normal routines. To help you get into the mood of the season, we will be sprinkling a little magic and mystery throughout the weekend!
The Yoga asanas are the postures we practice every time we come to the mat. Asanas, done properly, can have a profound effect on our mind and body. Join me in this peaceful setting as we delve into the most important details of Yoga asana in order for you to get the most out of your practice time on the mat. You will learn practical tips and advice that will increase your confidence in Yoga asana. Each day will consist of fireside workshops where we will dive deeper into the aspects of asana practices, a gentle yoga flow practice appropriate for the level of every student in attendance, breathing practices, discussions and meditations. All levels of practice will be considered in planning. Hand-outs provided in each workshop. Props such as blocks, chairs, blankets and straps will be available for use and will incorporated in each practice session. All classes taught by Tish Hegel.

LOCATION
This magnificent property is a 150 acre ranch located 15 minutes east of downtown Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. The 4000 sf house is a spacious, comfortable home built with love by the owners. The heart of the home is the original 1908 homestead cabin, whose original deed was signed by President Theodore Roosevelt.
The unique setting of this home is at the confluence of two streams and surrounded by pristine natural beauty to stir your heart. Like a painting come to life with romantic rock bridges, quaint stone steps and walls, lush pastures, fruit trees, flowers and two jade-green ponds filled with trout that guests are encouraged to feed with food provided. This enchanting home is surrounded on three sides by 2.5 million acres of U.S. Forest land extending into Montana and Canada. The property has been maintained as a wildlife preserve with deer, elk, moose, bear, wolves, bald eagles and wild turkeys visiting the ranch. There are no visible neighbors.
TRAVEL & ARRIVAL
Travel expenses are not included in registration costs.
The nearest major airport is in Spokane, Washington. It is a 50 minute drive to Coeur d' Alene from the Spokane airport. The Missoula, Montana airport is a 2.5 hour drive to Coeur d' Alene. Ride sharing may be able to be arranged with other participants, please let me know if you would like me to help arrange this. There is a local airport shuttle serve for 100.00 each way.
Each participant will receive a map with detailed driving instructions before the retreat.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Six bedrooms are dispersed throughout the ground and the second floors with comfortable beds, plenty of space and privacy. Each of the three rooms on the second floor has it's own private stair case leading to the room The two large, main-floor bathrooms are located at the front and rear of the home. A well stocked laundry room is available for use. Bathrooms have hairdryers.
Wifi is available in the main areas of the house, but cell phone signals are 'spotty' at best. There is a land line for local (208) calls and emergencies. What'sApp works well for phone calls outside of the local area code.
MEALS
Savor delicious, nourishing meals prepared with locally-sourced ingredients that celebrate the flavors of autumn. Two hot vegetarian/vegan meals each day, lunch and dinner, will be prepared for you. Light breakfast foods are self-serve. Coffee and tea available in the mornings. Hot and iced teas are available all day. Guests' special dietary needs can be accommodated (gluten free, vegan, allergies). The cook for this retreat is Shelby Dobbins.
COEUR D'ALENE
Downtown Coeur d' Alene and Lake Coeur d' Alene are just a 15 minute drive from the ranch. An abundance of hiking and biking trails are in and around Coeur d'Alene. If you are interested in exploring Coeur d Alene during afternoon free time, I can provide you hiking and town information upon arrival.
RETREAT SCHEDULE
Oct 24, Arrival Day:
Arrival time is 1 PM on Thursday. Settle in, explore the ranch and relax before starting the Yoga practices.
3:30-5:30 PM: Yoga, A deeply relaxing practice yet dynamic and strength building at the same time. Includes a combination of Yin, Iyengar, Vinyasa and Restorative styles of Yoga with the intention of sopening the hips and low back. Appropriate for all levels of students.

ROOM CHOICES
1) Balcony Room: RESERVED
Large room with queen bed, private full bath with shower and private patio/terrace. Located on the second floor, private staircase leads to the room. Stunning views of the forest through large glass windows at front of house can be seen from the bed. This is a loft type of room with an open railing above the Yoga room. People cannot see into the Balcony room from the lower level. The Yoga room is closed to the rest of the house between 9:30 PM and 8 AM to ensure complete privacy to those in the Balcony room.

2) Silver Room: RESERVED
Large room on main floor, center of the house, queen bed and views of the fruit tree orchard and small pasture. Shared bath located across hallway from room. Bathroom shower is shared with the Bear's Den.

3) Bear's Den: RESERVED
Part of the original 1908 log cabin. One queen bed, two twin beds. Private half bath (no shower). Located on second floor, private stair case leads to room. Full bathroom located at the base of stairs and shared with the Silver Room.

4) Moose Room: RESERVED
Queen bed. Located on the main floor at the back of the house. Large bath shared with Wolf and Native American rooms.

A cozy room with a twin bed and a private exterior door. Located on main floor at rear of house. Large shared bath with Moose and Native American rooms.

Cancellations made through September 24 2024 will receive a 50% refund, minus 500.00 deposit. If we can find a student to fill your room during this time you will receive a full refund minus the deposit.

Arrival: Nearest airports are Spokane, WA (50 minutes away) and Missoula, MT (2.5 hours away). Please let me know if you are interested in car-sharing from the airport, I will try to connect you with other students to arrange a carpool. Uber/Lyft are appx. 100.00 each way.
